Roses - Shrub Roses

The more recent introductions in this section as modern shrub roses and should be pruned in the same manner as a large growing Floribunda.  The others are old world shrubs and ought to be pruned the same as the "Gallica Roses".

Golden Wings
Large simple flowers of golden yellow with deep bronze stamens have a lovely perfume. Growth is compact and bushy, foliage pale green. Excellent for the front of the Shrub border.

Madame Hardy
The blooms are really sumptuous. Very full, petalled like a Camelia with incurved centre and revealing a tiny green eye. They are large, pure white but sometimes creamy blush on opening. One of the most lovely old roses in existence.
