The 'Bourbon' roses are hybrids between Rosa Chinesis and Rosa Damascena.  They have a more modern appearance than the older groups and their leaves show the smoothness and tinting of their Chinese parent.  Prune in February.  Old twiggy wood should be removed and very long new shoots may be shortened by one third of their growth.
